History
The company
was founded in 1972 by Patrick L. McGohan as McGohan and Associates
operating as an independent life and health insurance agency. In
1985, the company name was changed to McGohan Brabender, Inc. Since
that time, the company has specialized in the group insurance and
employee benefits marketplace.
McGohan Brabender
Financial, Inc. started as MB Financial, Inc. in January of 1996,
as a sister company of McGohan Brabender, Inc. MB Financial markets
in the areas of Executive Benefits, Life Insurance, Long Term Care,
401k & Retirement Services and Investments. MB Financial was changed
to McGohan Brabender Financial in 2000.
McGohan Brabender
Financial is owned by five of the partners of McGohan Brabender,
John Spoelker and Lisa Block, both working and managing partners
of the firm.
